To answer the question about the difference between Acrylic (or even oil) and Photoshop, I'd say it's pretty different: you will never get a total control of all the parameters (hue, saturation, values,...) with real paint as much as with a digital program. But you will never get the pleasure of working with raw natural material (real paint, real brushes, flexibility of the canvas, smell of the palette, the varnish,...) with a digital program. I like working with programs when I do something commercial: it is faster, more easily changeable, and very practical immediatly.
But for the pure pleasure of Art, and feeling connected to matter as a human being, my first love stays real paint, there's no question about it. Once a real painting is done, it's a unique piece. A digital file is not.
