You, sir, are a master! The texture, the rolling clouds, the depth make such a wonderous environment. Why did you leave such amazing personal artwork with another business somewhere? How long did this take to paint?

Beautiful work again Christophe, I love the gravity-deifying anomaly you have in many of these pieces. Fabulous light fall from between the giants heads.

This is definetly one of my favorites of yours. I was completely inspired by it when I saw it in Spectrum a couple years back. What makes it all the more impressive is that it was painted traditionally. +9 my friend!

Thanks so much everyone for all the comments! To answer Highfive's question: it took me about 80 or 90 hours to get this done. The subtilities in values and details from the last statue to the closest one gave me a real hard time.
Now, here is something you may find interesting: believe it or not, when I did this painting, I had never read "The Lord of the rings" and it was about one year before the movie came out (so, I didn't know the visuals).
Of course, many people aked me afterwards if I had worked on the movie or if I had done the poster for it. Well, I wish I had, but I was on "Treasure Planet" at that time.
Sometimes, you wonder how Destiny works.

First I noticed the statues, and then the floating rock. I noticed the floating rock because it seems all your best landscapes have floating rocks. Something to keep in mind for when I become as insanely good as all you people. That a looooooong way off though. too far to even imagine :p
