I was reading a interview on the Abnormis page and I was shocked that this artist when asked what did he think of traditional media he replied that he hoped it dies. I on the other totally disagree with that statement and whenever I gaze at the power traditional media still holds (like the picture you have drawn) it only strengthens my thought of this even more. Not only is this original but it also reminds of the works of the masters (those being Van Gogh, Michellangelo, Donatello, Rembrandt, and more) and because of that I must congradulate you and Give you +9 if it were possible. Work like this should never be forgotten.

Beautiful lighting and textures. I'm not sure where the light source is in the picture, but in a way that adds to the mystery of the image.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the texture and light in this piece, as well as the way the cloth looks soft but slightly stiff. I wonder if the model got bored with that page she's reading :). Lovely lovely work.

This is a really great picture, and my respect you did this in watercolor. I know, this medium is by far not that easy to control as digital(i give up watercolor, but i ike acrylics, where you can paint from dark to light too if you want or need to do.).

Christophe, excellent work as usually. Those tips you gave me were very helpful, especially on the resources. Thanks again! You always seem to capture such a mundane moment, and reveal it in a light that makes you second guess such moments.

Thanks for your comments everyone, and thanks for your words, Ikaris. About the article you read on the Abnormis page, well, it's pretty sad that a guy who pretends to be an artist can say that.
Anyway, I'm glad there are still a lot of people out there who understand plurality in Art.

wow, personally I love traditional art, and I love watercolours but I've always found that particular medium difficult to use. :( Your painting is absolutely gorgeous, I remember seeing something similar in the local print gallery last week. +9

and I just wanted to know if Ikaris was refering to the johnnywedge interview, because he did say that he hoped something would die, but not traditional art, I think he was talking about the art industry :

" Yeah...I really don't give a fuck about the "industry." I hope it dies"

Who is the model you keep using in your work? She is beautiful! Another great piece of artwork, how long did it take you to paint it?

It seems the same girl is always reapearing in your works. Who is she?!
Very nice piece! A lot of detail for watercolor, I think!

Ok, for the ones who asked who is the girl, well, she is just a friend of mine. About the time to paint it: about 15 hours.
